Why should we have family photos taken?

Because these moments don’t stay the same forever. Children grow, families change, and the little things we take for granted become the things we miss most. Family photography is about preserving this chapter of your life so you can return to it for years—and generations—to come.

Where do family sessions take place?

Sessions can take place somewhere meaningful to your family, outdoors in a beautiful location, or in your home. I’m always looking for places that feel natural and allow your family’s personality to come through. I photograph families throughout the Halifax Regional Municipality and across Nova Scotia, including Halifax, Dartmouth, Bedford, Fall River, Lawrencetown and surrounding communities.

What happens if my kids don’t cooperate?

That’s completely normal—and honestly, some of the best photographs happen in those moments. I don’t expect children to sit perfectly and smile for an hour. I’ll keep things relaxed, playful, and moving so we can capture genuine connection rather than forced poses.

What should we wear?

I recommend choosing clothing that feels like you, while keeping the overall look simple and timeless. Neutral tones, natural textures, and coordinating rather than perfectly matching usually photograph beautifully. Once you book, I’m happy to help guide you through wardrobe choices.
